The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has permitted BTech programs in 11 regional languages, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan introduced on Saturday.
These languages are Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Malayalam, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi and Odia.

@narendramodi is dedicated to promoting regional languages in mainstream education. NEP stresses on this essential facet to empower college students coming from numerous areas,” Pradhan tweeted.
Earlier within the day, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu welcomed the choice of 14 engineering faculties throughout eight states to supply programs in regional languages in choose branches from the brand new tutorial 12 months.
