Central Board of Secondary Education has collaborated with the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE to launch the ‘Innovation Ambassador Programme’. The program will be launched for CBSE teachers where the Board will train 50,000 teachers as Innovation Ambassadors. The online training program for CBSE teachers will be launched on July 16, 2021.
- Ramesh Pokhriyal has consented to launch the online training programme for CBSE teachers on July 16. The classes will begin on July 20, CBSE said
- The schools can nominate a maximum of five teachers for this programme, the notification informed, it added
As per the statement released by the Board, the schools who have already registered their teachers are also required to log in on mic.gov.in/sia/with the registered email ID of Single Point of Contact. The password has been emailed to the registered email ID of SPOC.
The first batch of the first module of the first program will be Design Thinking and Innovation. The first batch will begin on July 20, 2021.

About the Innovation Ambassador Programme
To strengthen the mentoring capacity of teachers, CBSE, in collaboration with the Innovation Cell, AICTE, Ministry of Education, launched the ‘Innovation Ambassador Programme’ in which the teachers from affiliated schools shall be trained on the following five modules:
1. Design Thinking and Innovation
2. Idea generation and Ideal hand-holding
3. Intellectual Property Rights
4. Product / Prototype development
5. Finance, Sales and HR
