AICTE Introduces Model Curriculum for UG Electrical Engineering to Shape Future Innovators

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has unveiled a new Model Curriculum for Undergraduate Electrical Engineering programs, designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving technological landscape. Led by Chairman Prof. T.G. Sitharam and developed in collaboration with industry experts, the curriculum incorporates emerging fields like AI and machine learning, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for industry demands.

A key feature of the curriculum is its strong emphasis on practical, hands-on training. Through internships and field visits, students will gain valuable industry exposure, enabling them to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges. This approach aligns with the government’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, fostering innovation and self-reliance.
