The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is preparing to launch a revamped model curriculum for BTech in electrical engineering, developed through an intensive two-year review process.
In early 2022, AICTE established a committee to update the curriculum for implementation in all engineering colleges across the country, excluding the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the National Institutes of Technology (NITs). The committee was led by Prem K Kalra, the founding director of IIT Jodhpur and former director of Dayalbagh Education Institute.
The revised syllabus, which emphasizes experiential learning, is currently under review and is expected to be published soon.
